If you thought 2013 went fast, I think you’re in for a real thrill ride in 2014. Social Media will continue to be the medium we choose for communication – with Facebook giving way for emerging platforms such as Snapchat. Technology will find its way on us, as the move towards wearable technology will accelerate rapidly in 2014. Marketing will also continue to be centred around online communications. And big data, or data mining, will be more accessible to businesses of all sizes. Media will move away from traditional mass-media consumption (as it has done so for years now) and continue its direction to niche-media. And, online will continue to dominate in growth against most sectors, including, Print, Retail, Entertainment, and Advertising.
